Erasmus + Training Course “A Mental Health for Youth Workers”

The training course offers a holistic approach to youth mental health integrating tools from mental health first aid, cognitive behavioural therapy, yoga, meditation and mindfulness. It also acknowledges that many of the causes of the youth mental health crisis are due to the current state of society and the environment and explores how a nature-based worldview and engaging with meaningful activities in service of nature and community, a good community support network, personality qualities that build resilience can help provide a healthy antidote to mental health issues. It aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for preventive work with young people, promoting positive development of their mental health, and providing supportive interventions for those experiencing mental distress.

The training is aimed at youth workers who encounter mental health issues in their work and wish to improve their practice in this area as well as youth workers that want to support the well-being of youth in general, and work preventive for positive mental health of youth.
 
🙋🏻‍♂️ Profile of participants:
Youth workers who:
– are motivated to address the youth mental health crisis,
– have skills or experience relevant to the topic,
. youth workers that want to work on their own well-being, are experience challenges in their everyday life and work,
– face health, economic or geographic barriers,
– has sufficient level of English to participate in the training,
– are committed to share the knowledge and experience achieved inside the partner organisation,
– are from 🇩🇰 Denmark, 🇵🇱 Poland, 🇸🇮 Slovenia, 🇬🇷 Greece, 🇧🇬 Bulgaria, 🇱🇹 Lithuania, 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇮🇹 Italy or 🇪🇸 Spain.
