The year of 2024 is bringing big and exciting changes to Ananda Gaorii.
As we gear up for a series of enriching events this year, we find ourselves in need of a crucial resource: extra space to accommodate our dedicated volunteers and staff. As we are holding more and more large-scale events, existing accommodation is no longer adequate to house guests and staff simultaneously.
This year we are hosting several Erasmus+ Events, which enable young adults to gain valuable experience and skills, personal and professional development, and the exchange of best practices in education, training, and youth work. In order to run smooth events, we recruit extra volunteers to help cooking and cleaning, therefore we also need extra accommodation for these volunteers.
Apart from the Events, Ananda Gaorii has also new innovative, sustainable and natural construction projects ongoing, with the goal to become a full-fledged retreat center able to host in total 150 people, including 30 permanent and 120 long/short-term guests.
Some of the projects envisioned for the year of 2024/25 are:
- Relocate the bakery to the New Farm
- Renovation of the main Building
- Old Bakery Renovations
- Renovate bakers’ flat and house
- Construct a Machine hall
- Construct a Root Cellar
- Renovate Prouthall, Storage and Garage
Over the next couple of years, we will be renovating our facilities to create extra accommodation. Meanwhile, to be able to host all the staff and volunteers, having 5 or 6 caravans will solve the problem.
Not only will your contribution facilitate the smooth running of our events, but it will also aid us in our ongoing construction projects. With your help, we can create a space that not only nurtures personal growth but also lays the foundation for a brighter, more sustainable future. Once the new accommodation is ready, the caravans can still be used for families, guests, or staff who need an extra bit of privacy.
